16 coil active functions

The exclusive, 16 coil "Beast" pickup used in our active series of basses is very unique and allows for a huge variety of voices from your bass.  You first use the 3 position rotary knob to select the coils to use, and then you can use the blend knob to further define your sound.

Position 1:  With the blend in the middle, this position has that burpy, growly, type of sound that's typically associated with jazz basses.  It's a very unique voice that has tons of character.  Dial the blend towards the neck and you'll bring out a more traditional, p-bass type of sound.  Blending towards the bridge brings out a strong mid-range tone.

Position 2:  With the blend in the middle, this brings out that punchy, fat type of sound that's usually associated with Music-Man style basses.  It's got a tight, powerful low end, with crisp highs that punches thru a mix.  Dialing the blend in either direction has a more subtle effect compared to the other positions, and works to provide a more detail sound.

Position 3:  This position has some very unique tones.  With the blend knob centered, you got a really thick, powerful sound.  Dialing the blend in either direction brings out more definition and character to the voicing, with the neck direction having more midrange and the bridge position having a deeper tone.
